A new survey finds most Iraq/Afghanistan vets think President Obama is worse than his predecessor, President George W Bush.
"The general consensus is that there has been a lot of headway as far as veterans are concerned. We didn't come home to people spitting on us or calling us baby killers or things like that."
But Newton says vets with whom he's spoken think the administration could do a lot more to help veterans transfer from combat to civilian life.
"We feel that the government and the institutions in government, Congress and the President, can do more to address some of these issues that are facing the newest generation of vets."
Newton points out 22 vets commit suicide each day.
