The weather has been putting a damper on the weekend in more ways than one. In Houston and throughout Texas the rain caused accidents, traffic delays and games to be cancelled. Friday night football throughout some parts of Southeast Texas was cancelled.

First responders reportedly rescued several motorists with stalled vehicles.

Although the Astros were playing in Cleveland, they felt the impact of Mother Nature as well. The heavy rain pulled the plug on their game in the 7th inning, giving the Indians a 7-1 victory.

With Fall beginning this Sunday, forecasters predict the summer will end on a soggy note.
