People from all over the United States are in Houston this weekend for the National Rifle Assocation's annual conference.
The event at the Brown Convention Center kicked off Friday with speeches from prominent Republicans like Texas Governor Rick Perry, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, and Sarah Palin.
Many of those attending the convention expressed their desire to come because of the recent backlash against guns and gun owners. Despite the proposed gun control legislation failing in Congress, supporters say the battle is not over when it comes to defending the right to bear arms.
Saturday's lineup of speakers includes NRA President Wayne LaPierre and syndicated radio host Glenn Beck.
