A statue honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. statue has been installed and will be revealed today.

The official unveiling had to be rescheduled after the statue was damaged just before it was shipped to Houston in April.

Festivites celebrating the unveiling begin at 9a.m. Saturday at MacGregor Park in southeast Houston. Then an 8-foot bronze statue will be revealed at 11 a.m.. 

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and other community leaders are expected to be on hand.
