The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is running a series of ads designed to scare, shock and disgust smokes into quitting.
The ads feature former smokers, like Amanda, who baby was born prematurely and very tiny. Also on the screen are two middle-aged people who lost their teeth, and a man with a hole in his throat.
Terri Hall is featured, the North Carolina woman who lost her larynx and throat to throat cancer. She reportedly demanded to be back on the campaign, calling the C-D-C and getting taped, less than a month before she died at the age of 53.
