The news is mostly bad when it comes to paying your income taxes this year. But there's a bit of a break for those seeking the home office deduction. The IRS has reduced the paperwork.

Houston CPA Bob Fumagalli says there's not much good news this tax season.

"There's not that many changes to the 2013 returns versus 2012; most of the ones really are a detriment to most clients."

Fumagalli recommends you be aggressive with deductions.

"Not that many rules changes when it comes to deducting for individuals. They have increased some of the adjusted gross income limitations that comes into play on various deductions -- like whether you can do an IRA or not."

Fumagalli says the IRS is busy with Obamacare issues and doesn't have a lot of employees scouring your return looking for reasons to audit.
