At 2-9 the Texans' season is over and it figures to be 2-10 after Sunday's game with the Patriots -- who are favored by a touchdown. Some fans even want the Texans to lose to secure a higher draft pick. But former players N.D. Kalu and Greg Koch say that's not the way players think.

Former Texan Kalu says he understands some fans are looking to the draft in April but he says players never do.

"Just as a former player I can't even wrap my mind around wanting to lose or hoping to lose for a better draft choice."

Packers great Greg Koch says with the prospect of a coaching change, many players are playing for their jobs.

"There's no quit in these guys; you're out there fighting for your individual job because you know even if a new coach comes in you're gonna be evaluated as a brand new player."

There may not be much reason for Texans fans to hope -- but this could be a trap game for New England.

You can hear N.D. Kalu and Greg Koch "In the Trenches" weekday mornings at 9am on Sportstalk 790.
