Hollywood's latest attack on conservatives is aimed right at Texas. On the latest episode of HBO's vampire drama TrueBlood, vampire characters pose as Republicans to "invade" a fundraiser for Senator Ted Cruz(http://www.cruz.senate.gov/) at the George W. Bush Presidential Library. As the characters are preparing to leave, another character tells them they won't get in because they're vampires and "they only invite a##holes." As she's getting ready, the female character uses a vulgar anatomical term to describe Republican women. While arriving at the event, she says "Of all the horrible things I've seen in the last hundred years this could be the most disturbing." The gala ends in a bloody massacre, courtesy of the vampires.
Senator Cruz took to social media to respond, somewhat lightheartedly. "Well, I'm sorry to have lost the vampire vote, but I'm astonished (and amused) that HBO is suggesting that hard-core leftists are blood-sucking fiends," he posted on his Facebook page. Cruz also called the episode "misogynist and profanity-ridden." He further expanded during an interview with KTRH's Sean Hannity on the Fox News Channel. "They had vampires murdering a bunch of Texas Republicans at a Ted Cruz fundraiser...you know I have to say that of all the places I never thought to be mentioned, HBO's vampire show would be right at the front."
Nevertheless, Cruz shouldn't be surprised if he gets an offer from the show's producers. Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin told Breitbart News she recently turned down an offer to make a cameo appearance on True Blood. As for Senator Cruz, he got one more bite in on his Twitter feed, following up on his earlier comment about losing the vampire vote. "Then again, I guess I never had a chance w/the vampire vote since the dead tend to vote overwhelmingly for Dems."
