Put the Phone Down!
A new study finds college students who are constantly on their phones texting, talking and surfing the web are more anxious and have lower grades.
Dr Amber Luong at Houston's UT Health Science Center says the study results are not a surprise. College students -- especially around finals -- are a stressed out group.
"Feeling the need to always be connected; always being socially involved, rather than having that person to person interaction."
Common sense suggests if your phone is making you unhappy, put it down.
"We are a society that loves our electronics and our gadgets so that might be easier said than done."
Dr. Luong says the obvious answer for tech anxiety is more exercise. Go for a walk or a jog if you feel stressed.
"Getting outside; having some time off; just exercising and getting the adrenaline going and other hormones going."
