A memorial service will be held today for legendary Texan Bud Adams.

Adams died last week at his home in Houston.  He was 90 years old.  Adams died less than 72 hours after Bum Phillips who was also 90 years old.  The two will be forever linked for the Houston Oilers' "Luv Ya Blue" days.

Adams was one of the founding members of the American Football League in 1959 and was instrumental in the merger to form the current NFL.

Adams founded the Houston Oilers and famously moved the team to Tennessee in 1997.

The memorial service will be held at Second Baptist Church on Woodway at 1PM.  A visitation was held Sunday at the George H. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home.
