*UPDATED AT 9:30AM: 14-year-old Elizabeth Rex, the Magnolia girl with Down syndrome, who went missing on Monday, has now been found safe in South Texas, according to family members. An Amber Alert was issued for the girl on Tuesday.

The girls family says they took the man in to their home recently, due to his critical illness, then subsequently kicked him out for getting too close to Rex. Monday is when the girl disappeared.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department has issued an Amber Alert for a 14 year old girl from Magnolia, Texas believed to be in grave danger.  Elizabeth Rex has Down syndrome, Autism and bi-polar disorder and her family said she takes medications for some of these conditions.

Elizabeth is believed to be with a family acquaintance named Randy Johnson.  The 51 year old white male was last seen in the Magnolia area in an unknown vehicle.  According to the family, Johnson lived with them for about eight months. They recently kicked him out and they believe he took their daughter as revenge.

Elizabeth was last seen wearing black pants, a grey tank top and red jacket.  Anyone with information about the girl’s whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department immediately at (936)-760-5800.
