The Houston Astros open the 2014 season tonight at Minute Maid Park with a game against the Yankees.  Scott Feldman takes the mound for Houston.  The Astros are depending on young players filling the roster and a strong minor league system to put an end to a string of 100-loss seasons.  Feldman says there's a lot of optimism in the clubhouse.

“Everybody in here believes in each other,” he explains.   “We'll just go out there and play well, catch the ball and score some runs and we'll be fine.”

Game time is 6:10 p-m Central Daylight time.

Feldman says he really likes opening day.

“It's almost like a playoff atmosphere,” he says.  “It's a little more intense than a normal regular season game, but I'll just try to stay calm and go out there and make some pitches.”
