Smart phone leader Apple has big plans for the latest iteration of the iPhone.
The iPhone 6 is due out later this year and it is reported that Apple has placed a huge initial order for the device. Apple has ordered almost 80 million iPhone 6s for initial release. That is 20 million more than the last version.
The High Tech Texans Michael Garfield says Apple hopes this iPhone will take down the emerging competition, "Are they going to sell 70 to 80 million of these units? And what are their competitors gearing up for? Because, I do know that Samsung is getting ready to launch another phone..."
The order by Apple does consist of two models of the new iPhone. There will be a normal version with the same screen size, and one model that boasts a much larger screen.
