One person is dead and two others are wounded after gunfire erupts at a southwest Houston house party.

It happened at a home near Hiram Clark and West Fuqua.  Police say one person was found dead in the street.  The injured partygoers were discovered in a nearby donut shop; one was taken to the hospital with a chest wound, the other was shot in the leg.

Investigators say an argument broke out at the party, attended by older teens and young adults.  Police are still looking for the shooter.

The incident comes one week after a shooting at a house party in Cypress left two people dead and 22 hurt.
