Air Travel is Changing

Air Travel is Changing

Commercial air travel is booming.  Most flights are sold out.  And, the growth is going to continue.  The FAA is projecting an 84 percent increase in the number of air travelers over the next 20 years.  If you miss your flight, changing your plans can be a challenge.

"It's a nightmare for the travelers and it's a nightmare for me," says Linda de Sosa, Vice President of Woodlake Travel, "because I'm the first person they call.  Maybe their plane was late, so they missed their connection and there's no flights left for the next three days."

De Sosa says full planes mean prices are going higher.  Frequent fliers wanting an upgrade are often out of luck.

"It's really hard to find them now," she says, "because the flights are so full.  They're not going to give away something that they can sell."
