The federal government leviathan spends so much money it has no idea where a lot of it goes. A GAO report finds wasteful spending is rampant.

Sean Kennedy at Citizens Against Government  Waste says Congress creates multiple duplicate programs.

"We have three federal offices involved in overseeing catfish inspections."

Kennedy says you'd think it'd be an easy problem to solve when the duplicates are pointed out by the GAO, but no.

"There's billions being spent on creating new maps by specific agencies without checking to see if other agencies already possess those maps."

Kennedy says another example is multiple armed services creating camouflage without working together on one design.
