The top midshipman in the US Naval Academy Class of 2014 is meeting with local appointees to the nation’s military academies today at a send-off breakfast.  Ensign Brynn Umbach, a 2010 graduate of Woodlands College Park High School, was recognized for her overall merit by the Academy.

“Being selected to our military service academies is both a remarkable achievement and a unique opportunity to help lead our nation in the future. I'm pleased to announce that nine young men and women from the 8th Congressional District will be attending U.S. military service academies this fall,” said Brady. “Like those before them who have sought a first-rate education and the chance to develop their leadership skills, these young people are talented, grounded and are determined to make a difference for their nation."
